Tobi, Parker, and the Triplets

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Tobi and her kids.  I used to take their pictures all the time when they were babies, but I haven’t seen them in a couple of years.  Oh my goodness!  I can’t believe how big they have gotten!!

So fun!!  Thanks for being so good kiddos!

our little Mary

The weekend after Iowa, I headed up to Page, AZ for my little sister’s graduation.  After staying up nearly all night, she braved ice cold Lake Powell the next morning for a couple of fun pictures:

Good luck at ASU!   It’s going to be great to have you closer!! :)

fueled passion

A couple of days after I arrived home from Iowa I had a super fun photo shoot for fledgling graphic apparel company Fueled Passion.  I can only show you one picture because Kimberly hasn’t even seen them yet!

Thank you Amy, Denise, Ashley and Paulo (a.k.a. “Paco”) for your help!!

a couple of new states for me

We had to make the sad journey to Iowa a few weeks ago when Donovan’s father passed away.  Don tried to sooth his pain by visiting as many places that he could that are filled with childhood memories.  We landed in Omaha, Nebraska and I fell in love with the quaint historic Old Market district!  Then we headed into Iowa and swooped up to South Dakota for a bit too.  Here are a few pictures from that trip:

If anyone EVER wants to do a photo shoot in the Old Market Passageway…LET ME KNOW!

And here is Iowa!  Just take this image and reapeat about every mile or so and that is the scenery for nearly the entire part of the state we were in! ;)

In the tiny little town of Struble, Iowa there is actually a Durband street!!

My new favorite place to shop online is www.etsy.com.  Everything on the site is handmade by hundreds of artists.  Here are a couple of gems that I picked up recently:

Tucson Thunder

This weekend was the 2008 Arizona State H.O.G. Rally as well as the Tucson Thunder event produced by the Downtown Tucson Partnership.  I set up my portrait art display in vendor alley and made several great connections!  After packing up, I shot these photos on the way back to the car:

a day of art

Last Saturday was Tucson’s 3rd annual Madonnari Chalk Art Festival.  It was a day of chalk art, sculpture, music, dancing, and poetry.  I set up a display of my art…my photography!  My friend, Benjamin, came down and we spent the day enjoying the festival and talking to many nice people.  Here are some shots of the day:

My friends, Kathy and Monica, did a Salsa dancing show with thier group at the end of the afternoon.  This is something I am going to learn this summer…hopefully!  WATCH OUT! :)

Wow!  I must have been annoyed with the wind at this point!   Anyway…thank you Dad and Benjamin for your help with this project!  I couldn’t have done it without you!!!
