It was such an honor to photograph National Guard soldier Denise before her one year deployment to Afghanistan. She is absolutely gorgeous and so much fun, but she has had to hide herself behind her camouflage uniform for the past several weeks as she trained for her time away. She enjoyed the chance to get all dolled up as much as I enjoyed the time I got to spend with her capturing these images.
When it got dark we moved onto the roof of the historic Hotel Congress…

You know I think you’re great and not just because you’re my sister. I look around at a lot of other photographer’s “art” to see what you’re up against and you rock! Of course, Denise isn’t too shabby either but you really portrayed that well in these pictures. You have not just evolved, keep up with your great ideas =)
